90 second snack

We had a play date at our house today, which means the house was actually clean.  Which also means I had time to do something other than run around like a crazy person trying to function in a disorganized house.

I decided to try my hand at waffle iron cookies.  Yes, you heard right, made in the actual waffle iron.  I thought it would be nice to dust that ole' appliance off and give it some good use.  Here's the story: it makes super easy, chewy cookies in about 90 seconds!  You can use any of your favorite cookie recipes ( I just  coated the iron with cooking spray).

::: Step one: mix up batter of choice (I used a simple chocolate cookie recipe)

::: Step two:  Slop some into your pre-heated iron (medium setting).  I put about 1/8 of a cup in each  section, but you can eyeball it.

::: Step three: Heat for 90 seconds or until done and cool on a rack.  Leave in a little longer for a slightly crisper cookie.

::: Step four:  Pour a glass of milk and enjoy ;)

P.S.  I tried really hard, but I don't think my photos can ever compare to Aran Goyoaga!
