Loving {January}:

A few things I've been loving lately:

{1} This amazing lip balm! I've been using it on and off for the past few years, but had to restock recently. My lips and skin are having a hard time adjusting to the climate change and this stuff really works! The pretty rose scent is definitely a bonus too.
{2} Cauliflower. Who knew? I recently made this delicious soup (pictured above), and we also made a cauliflower puree last week and served it up with steak. Simply chop and steam one head of cauliflower and then throw it in the blender with some butter and herbs. It comes out light and very creamy (I may have eaten a whole bowl of it)!
{3} Soft waves. I love this look-so romantic! Living in a drizzly climate means sporting straight hair is next to impossible, at least for me. I haven't found the perfect product (suggestions?) or ways of styling my wayward hair, but I'm embracing its tendencies (photo source unknown).
{4} Music by Madeleine Peyroux. Sample a few of her tunes here, or make a Pandora station featuring her music and you'll see why her smoky voice has been serenading me through these dark, gray days.

What have you been loving lately?

  1. I so enjoy your blog. I could give hair product advice but there isn't enough room. I have naturally curly hair and I love trying so many different products. Right now it's Wen for shampoo/conditioner, Winter Vanilla, http://www.sleekhair.com/pm-awapuhi-wildginger.html any of these products ( I use the oil). No blow dryer, just air dry. Soft and healthy hair.

  2. Such a throw-back post! Love it! Meaning, the hair reminds me of Lauren Bacall or Veronica Lake, and Madeleine Peyroix reminds me of Billie Holiday. I first "discovered" her in 2007, but hadn't listened to her in a long time until she popped up on Billie Holiday radio on Pandora. Such good music for the background of life, eh? :)
