Dipped cake stand (and a Tarte aux Pommes)
When I saw this lovely tutorial for dipped glass ornaments by Jenn (Ambrosia Girl), I decided that most of the glass objects in my life should definitely be dipped. I'm sure you have a few of these $10 cake stands lurking in your cupboard (am I right?) that surely deserve to be gussied up.
I used DecoArt transparent stain in brown this time around (find it at Michael's), but now I want one in every color! You can refer to Jenn's post for dipping instructions. For drying, I balanced my cake stand on the top of a small box I had lined with newspaper.
