Porch Makeover: Before

If you missed this post earlier this week, I'm doing a low-budget makeover on our little back porch.  The goal is to make it pretty + liveable for spring and summer, without spending a lot of money.

I had to fight all urges to clean up the porch a little before taking these photos!  I decided to leave it completely as-is in hopes that the "after" photos will be that much more dramatic.

This is the right side of the porch.  The small door on the left is our tiny "storage unit," and the larger door on the right is a door that leads to the master bedroom.

Here's a view of the porch, head-on, taken from the slider in our living room.  This is the mess we've been looking at from the living room everyday!  Wish I could paint that red trim, but we can't have it all, right?

Here is the left side of the porch, including a door that opens to the girls' room.  As you can see, the girls enjoy playing out here!

To do list:
-clear out unwanted furniture/storage items
-scrub dust/dirt left over from winter
-add a rug + outdoor pillows
-add toy storage/organization so the girls can play on porch, but toys are kept in check
-add potted plants

I can't wait to get started!  Do you have any spring cleaning projects in the works?
